Frequently Asked Questions
What is microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup using a handheld microblade to tattoo individual, realistic hairstrokes under the epidermal layer of the skin. Due to precise placement of pigments that match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows, microblading results in more even, fuller, natural-looking brows.
Is microblading safe?
Yes, if conducted by a trained professional following proper safety measures. We adhere to the strictest of sanitation and sterilization protocols. We use only sterile, single-use tools at the onset of each session, and our treatment room is sanitized to protect against contamination. We also urge you to strictly follow our pre and postcare instructions to ensure proper healing and avoid infection
Is microblading painful?
It is often said to be a bit uncomfortable than painful. We use numbing cream before and during the procedure.
Everyone’s pain threshold is different. Some who felt it a bit compared it to the sensations of plucking or waxing. Yet, others report feeling nothing at all.
Will my eyebrows be perfectly symmetrical?
Everyone is different. Nothing on our bodies is perfectly symmetrical. With the brow mapping, I try to get as much symmetry as possible. Please keep your expectations realistic!
How long does microblading last?
This varies for each individual. Factors include skin type, lifestyle and how well you take care of your microbladed brows. A color boost is recommended on average at one year to maintain your color.
Why do I need a touch up?
In most cases touch ups are needed to fill in areas that the pigment did not take, and to build density. Remember, microblading is a two-step process! Some people may even need a third session to add desired fullness.
How do you choose the shape?
We will go over your custom shape and style together. I will work on a design specific to your wants and bone structure.
How do you choose color?
We will go over the color together and choose one based on your skin tone and brow hair color. Also the pigment will fade 40-60% after your first session.
I have had permanent eyebrow tattooing before, can I still get Microblading done?
Yes, you can, ONLY if they have lightened up. If your eyebrows are grey, black, or extremely dark I strongly recommend having removed by laser first. People who have had eyebrow tattooing underneath, microblading may not show up as well as others.
How long is the procedure?
The initial appointment is approximately 1:30 hours. The microblading procedure is approximately 1 hour, and the surrounding time is generally spent numbing the skin, reviewing before and after pictures, discussing color options, eyebrow shapes, and any questions you may have.
How long is the healing process?
Immediately after the procedure, some may experience slight swelling and redness that disappears within few hours or by next day. Color will remain dark for 2-3 days immediately after the procedure. After 7-8 days after the procedure, the dark color should fade to a more natural tone.
How do I book an appointment?
